Battery care and ensuring safety is our top priority. All PowerBug products undergo stringent quality and compliance testing giving our customers complete piece of mind. It is crucial for our customers to possess the correct knowledge for the maintenance of all their trolley components including Lithium Batteries and Chargers for long term and safe operation.

We at PowerBug consistently refine our policies to align with industry standards and we encourage our customers to stay updated. However, this effort is incomplete without customer participation. PowerBug encourages their customers to disseminate accurate battery care information through our updated website content.

During sales interactions, PowerBug encourage their staff and retail partners to dedicate time to basic battery care practices. PowerBug emphasises the importance of referring to manuals for comprehensive guidance on operating and maintaining PowerBug trolleys, batteries and chargers.

Tips and Recommendations

Charging
Charge the battery in an appropriate well ventilated area avoiding flammable surfaces.
Ensure the power connection is fault-free and avoid using power boards or extension leads.
Charge the battery after each use, regardless of duration, ideally within an ambient temperature range between 5°C to 30°C.
Do not leave the battery connected to the charger for more than 10 hours after it reaches full charge, adhering to new best practice guidelines.

Water
Immediately discontinue use if the lithium battery becomes submerged in water, whether fully or partially.
Water-damaged lithium batteries present a serious fire hazard and must be disposed of responsibly.
Never attempt to open a lithium battery for any reason! It is an electrical device which should not be tampered with.

Damage
Thoroughly inspect batteries and chargers for visible signs of damage on a regular basis. Note, not all damage may be visible and decreased performance can indicate underlying issues. For assistance with failing, damaged or water-affected lithium batteries, customers should contact PowerBug or an authorised service centre.

Visit the PowerBug Website for further details. PowerBug trolleys should undergo regular inspection, ideally before each round of golf, for signs of damage, wear and tear.
